• My husband has to work on a Saturday. Boo.
  • We bought him a bunch of fancy new shirts and some new sunglasses yesterday. They are the kind of shirts our adoption lawyer calls “hunnnerd dollar shirts that make him look like he’s out chasing honeys in the club” and admonished him not to wear to court. He looks super hot in them, so I’m glad our lawyer isn’t here to see it.
  • Dozer went on a student council overnight and comes back today. I am very proud of my girl, starting a new school in a new district and making the best of her situation through getting involved in good works.
  • Stinky has a birthday party tonight that he is very much looking forward to.
  • Sugar Biscuit’s sleep schedule is totally whacked.
  • He has a new sitter that we love.
  • I’ve been chasing a hawk off my chickens this morning, which is what happens when you have to get rid of your rooster.
  • Tomorrow is a family Christmas. I’m in charge of the pecan pies and dressing. Guess I’d better get busy.
  • Winston the dog has a cold. He had to go to the vet, and is on the mend, but is still extraordinarily snore-y.
  • The donkeys are staring at me through the window. I guess I should go feed them.
