My friends and I are doing a Novena to the Virgin Mary. I’m not Catholic, but I’m pretty sure Mary doesn’t care. It’s a really nice time in my day to take 30 minutes to myself to focus on the unraveling of things that are frayed and knotted in my life, and ask for their release.

And, we are having our own Feast Day on the last day of the meditation, which happens to be my oldest daughter’s birthday. And boy, is that a knot that needs untying!

Anyway, I’m finding focused prayer to be really centering and something I’m looking forward to eight more days of.
