I sent an email over the weekend to my agency, asking for a plan and some deadlines on this case. There’s a lot going on that I won’t get into, but suffice it to say that I think it’s time that we make some decisions and put the ball in the another court. This is the first case of its kind at the agency, and there are no established rules or guidelines for how it is to be handled. I’m guessing it’s good that I was the one to get this case, since I have so much experience dealing with this type of situation. From where I sit, it’s time to make a hard and fast plan so that Flower can have the stability she deserves. I’m hoping my agency understands that my goal is to create this, and that I’m only being a squeaky wheel so it can happen. I’ve never been shy about keeping my mouth shut when it comes to the kids in my care, and I’m not going to start now. Part of my responsibility as a foster parent is to speak up for my extra kids, and get their needs met, and I am doing that. I really feel like all of us are going to breathe better once we have a solid plan in place.
