Last night at training, we heard stories about children fleeing Central America to escape organ harvesters, and of child soldiers in Uganda. We heard that there are 90,000 children expected to cross the border from Mexico into Texas this year, many of them coming alone.

On the way home, my husband got a call from a client upset about the way that their new wine fridge was projecting out of the hole their cabinet maker made.

And then it was very hard for me for a moment, to live in a world with child armies and wine fridges, child traffickers and chipped marble countertops. Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by how little my contribution can be, and how very important it is to at least try my best.
