I’m a stay at home parent, therefore the breadwinning goes to my husband. It’s fair to say that 99% of our family’s income is from his paycheck, and while I do make some money blogging, it in no way regularly supplements our income.

My husband makes 99% of the money as well. In our family, my contribution as a stay at home mom is considered at least a full time job. Therefore, all our money is “ours”. We budget and plan together, but as the errand runner and bill payer and person who’s job is it to keep everyone supplied with their needs, I spend the majority of the money. I do my very best to be a good steward of the money my husband works so hard for, and any large purchases are agreed on by both of us beforehand. We cut back when we need to, and we splurge when we can. Although my husband is sometimes astounded by the amount of money it takes to keep this large family running, I know he values and approves of my role and my part in the management of our finances.Â
