I remember when I was a kid and we received food from churches and state aid. The nondescript grey box of cereal that just said on it Wheat Squares, or the government cheese that came in a box that you had to cut, or even the powdered milk.
But we had food.

My county is 14th in the country for food insecure children. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. What I can do on a grander scale besides donating to the food bank. I really would like to do some sort of big program, but I don’t have any clue where to start.Â
